IT service provider Cegeka has become partners with Databricks, a software platforms supplier for data architecture.
The so-called Lakehouse Platform from databricks is being used by more than 7000 companies worldwide for their data issues. The platform provides architecture that combines data engineering, data science, machine learning and analytics into one collaboration platform.
One of the many challenges Cegeka helps companies with is the realization of the ambitions in the field of data driven working. Hereby also using the Databricks platform.
“The last few months we have realized a few big data projects based on Databricks at among others Fluvius and Q-Park”, according toKristel Demotte, Global Vice President Data Solutions at Cegeka.
By connecting themselves as strategic partners to Databricks, Cegeka want to take the next step in their Databricks implementation solutions. And in their own data propositions, says CEO Stijn Bijnens.
“These days data is used more and more to let companies grow. Databricks gives us the flexibility we need to meet the needs of our customers, regardless of them working in a Microsoft, Azure, Google or AWS environment. This way Cegeka can offer a complete solution in the field of data.”
“The Databricks technology is a perfect addition to our reference architecture”, adds Demotte. “Company data is many times spread over different data sources and technologies. With Databricks we can remove the biggest obstacles companies are confronted with. This way we help them to translate raw data to useful insights to achieve better results within their company.”
As part of the collaboration Cegeka has certified a team of professionals for the Databricks platform. The IT service supplier has also developed a framework for Databricks. “Using this we can setup a very efficient data lakehouse for our clients”, says Demotte.
The American Databricks has more than 450 partners worldwide, of which IT companies and system integrators. Other well-known consulting partners are Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Delaware, Deloitte and Slalom.
